Governor Delivers a Crushing Blow to Women’s Health
SARASOTA, FL — Today Governor Crist (R) appointed Judge Charles Canady, currently of the Second District Court of Appeal, to the at-large seat made vacant by Justice Cantero’s resignation. The Florida Association of Planned Parenthood Affiliates (FAPPA) vigorously opposes Canady’s appointment to the Florida Supreme Court because of his long record of hostility toward women’s health and reproductive rights.
